Quickie video demonstrating how to properly remove and replace or upgrade the steering wheel on a 7th generation Honda Civic or 2nd generation Acura 1.7 EL. This procedure is the same for the coupe and sedan and is also applicable to many other Honda models.

It is imperative that you allow the SRS system to discharge for at least 15 minutes prior to working on the vehicle's air bag systems.

On a recent trip to an auto wrecker I was fortunate enough to come across a leather wrapped OEM 2nd gen Acura 1.7 EL steering wheel that would be a PERFECT fit in my 7th gen civic. For $15.00 I was able to get a steering wheel that not only felt great in my hands but also looked a lot better than the stock Civic steering wheel.
