Randomly the sound gets distorted, and keeps being distorted. A temporory "fix" like shown in the video is to change to another audio output of the Babyface. As soon as one switches back to "Speakers (Babyface Pro) the sound is still distorted. RME support contributes the problems alone to the configuration of the PC. I doubt that this is true.
1. Because if that would be true the sound output would also be distorted on all channels.
2. Disconnecting the Babyface Pro from USB and reconncting is a real fix for the problem. On the PC side nothing is changed. This also points in the direction that either the RME audio driver and / or firmware of the Babyface has some problems in that configuration (playing Windows audio WDM).
I spent many hours and tried several suggestions to improve on the PC side (disable USB power saving, CPU parking and many more). Nothing made a difference.
Recording was made late at night with low volume on a mobile phone - therefore you need to turn up the volume to hear the sound.
