Digitally Revealed 2025 Toyota Supra GRMN Aims to Become the Ultimate Sports Car
Recently, we also heard that YouTubers are now enjoying a day out on the famed racetrack in Germany in old Land Rovers just for the (survival) thrills. However, more importantly, automakers still treat the old-school track with utmost professionalism. For example, Toyota is not only enjoying the spotlight at the inaugural edition of the Japan Mobility Show (formerly known as the Tokyo Motor Show), but they are also hard at work developing the latest evolution of their GR Supra flagship sports car.
As such, it is no wonder our spy photographer partners have quickly captured the upcoming Toyota (GR) Supra GRMN at the Nürburgring – and this time around, the 'M' in GRMN stands for M GmbH power, most likely. We wonder why the company is preparing a feistier version of the already expensive GR Supra so soon. Why, it's pretty darn simple – Nissan just launched the 2024 Z Nismo in America, and at around the same price as a GR Supra 45th Anniversary, the rival throws a superior 420-hp punch.
Thus, Toyota couldn't have it any other way – especially since the 2024 Ford Mustang GT with up to 486 hp is also a lot closer to a genuine sports car than its usual pony/muscle car ethos. So, instead of the 3.0-liter GR Supra with 382 hp (387 ps/285 kW) and 368 lb-ft (499 Nm), prepare for BMW's six-cylinder mill to rock something superior to the 2024 Nissan Z Nismo.
Courtesy of the M GmbH-developed powerplant, the upcoming Toyota Supra GRMN could sport 453 hp (460 ps/338 kW) if it steals the heart of the BMW M2. On the other hand, eager fans also hope for something from the M3/M4 siblings – so one might also want to cross their fingers for the 473 hp (480 ps/353 kW) version. No, we will not dare say anything about the Competition models out of fear of jinxing it!
Anyway, with the rumor mill keeping a watchful eye on the developments around the next GR Supra iteration, are we surprised the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is not far behind with their dreamy interpretations of things to come? Not at all, of course, and while some pixel masters are thinking about the potential mid-cycle refresh that might bring some admirable Prius DNA styling traits, others see nothing but the Supra GRMN in front of their eyes.
The good folks from the AutomagzPro channel on YouTube have some AI-assisted CGI thoughts about the upcoming sports car. Well, given the light camouflage seen on the Green Hell prototype, it wasn't too hard to envision the potential next evolution aimed at making it the ultimate JDM-style sports car. However, note that everything we see in the video embedded below is wishful thinking at this point – no matter how cool the GR Supra looks with exposed carbon fiber parts plus a lower and wider stance.
As for the name, everyone may make mistakes on the Supra GRMN nameplate (just like it happened with the Land Hopper), and some CGI experts have even advanced other variants for the name along with their thoughts on the matter – so do take that with a grain of salt, as well.
