We can identify Emerald stone by two methods. Home inspection and Gemstone lab Testing.
There are Five ways to identify the Emerald stone at home.
1 First one is Look for flaws and Inclusion. If you see tiny flaws or irregular patterns within the stone, it is likely a real Emerald. If your gem is very clear, with almost none of these "inclusions," it may be a synthetic emerald (man-made but real), or not a gemstone at all.
2 Second one is the Sparkling Effect. Real emeralds produce little to no "fire," or colourful flashes that appear under light. If your gem produces a rainbow of flashes, it is not an emerald.
3 Third one is Check for layers. Real Emerald are not constructed from two or three layers, you can easily see these layers by immersing it in water and viewing from the side. Imitation gems are constructed from two or three layers of different materials, often a green layer in between two colourless stones.
4 Fourth one is Prices. If the deal seems too good to be true, trust your instincts. A natural, vividly green emerald with a brilliant luster typically costs at least $250 USD per carat. If the price tag seems suspiciously low, you are probably looking at glass or crystal, not emeralds.
5 Fifth is Colour. A real emerald gemstone is basically deep dark green in colour. Look out for stones with a brown tint to them - these are not natural emeralds.
Second method is Official Test by Gemstone Professionals.
1 First one is bring the stone to a professional jeweller: Ultimately, the safest way to be sure is to pay a professional Gem Lab to Test the gemstone which give a report whether the gem is real of fake.
2 Second one is get an appraisal: A jeweller can analyze the Gemstone and tell you how much it is worth. An appraisal is usually a good ballpark estimate of what a stone is worth in monetary value.
