#AmritsariFish or Macchi is an all time favourite fried fish recipe from North India and here I have experimented by using Salmon Fish for this recipe. Usually, this recipe uses Bhetki, Katla or other such fish. There is actually no one set recipe for preparing this tasty fried fish snack, but ingredients like Carom seeds are one ingredient that is almost invariably used. The key here is to use the freshest fish as possible and not overload the spices and ruin the flavours of the fish. This recipe is very popular in North India during the winter months when fresh river fish is in abundance. It is an extremely popular accompaniment with an evening tipple.
