Friedrich Nietzsche, Expressionism and the Body... Nietzsche would establish one of the most expansive and compelling critiques of mind-body dualism to reach Western ears… where, writing in the shadows still looming of Schopenhauer, he would challenge the notion that the self is divided between mind and body.

Such a critique would provide the grounds for which an artistic movement would later develop... Expressionism, and more particularly, German Expressionism.

So, how did Nietzsche clear the way for Expressionism to occur? How is a philosopher, who died years before, connected to a later movement in art, film and architecture? And what is Nietzsche's account of the Body?

I seek to explore these questions in this video.
