The Urban Safety Governance Assessment (USGA) is a methodology based on the governance approach that analyzes issues related to crime, victimization, illicit flows, externalities, corruption, consumption of substances harmful to health, among other aspects. Through the USGA, priority areas of intervention are identified for a comprehensive development of strategies and public policies.
The USGA was implemented in the Iztapalapa borough of Mexico City in coordination with local authorities, in which recommendations were issued to improve the capacities and governance of the local administration and borough.
