Diamond painting tip #1: Make a vertical cut in the protective piece of wax paper covering your diamond painting. It should be about 1 to 2 inches long. This will allow you to pull down the flap of paper so you have a manageable piece of your diamond painting canvas to work with.

Diamond painting tip #2: Tape your canvas to a flat surface using masking tape or painters' tape. This will keep the diamond painting kit steady. With a steady diamond art canvas you'll be much more efficient and you won't have to worry about knocking things over with the canvas or it sliding all over the place.

Diamond painting tip #3: When you have a large or semi-large area of the diamond painting canvas that only requires one color diamond drill, then place the diamonds in a checkerboard pattern. All the diamond painting pros use this tip. You'll find you can go much faster using this diamond painting technique.

Diamond painting tip #4: Use your tweezers to move troublesome diamond drills. Let's face it. Sometimes we miss the mark completely. Rather than struggle with the errant diamond gem, use your often overlooked diamond painting tool....the tweezers.
