The great Charles Aznavour (1924 – 2018) sings Quand tu m'aimes (When You Love Me - with English subtitles). In a career spanning 70 years, Aznavour recorded over 1,200 songs and wrote over 1,000 himself. He was also an actor and diplomat.
One of my favorite songs. And one of the most beautiful love songs ever written.
When the mood strikes me, I like to add English subtitles to songs I love. Let's call it a hobby. I haven't done one of these in a long time. Hope you enjoy.
NB: For the French speakers out there, this is my interpretation of the lyrics. You may not agree with the translation, but the words I chose come from my feelings about the song. Poetic license.
