Inky blue Fluorite crystals aesthetically perched on a Milky Quartz crystal matrix, very three dimensional and showy. The Fluorite crystals exhibit interesting and complex intergrown morphology – they are cubic with dodecahedral modifications showing an unusual curvature to the crystal edges and faces. The surfaces of the Fluorite crystals display a velvety luster.
Specimens of this kind were once a ‘wow’ factor in the Tucson show 2015. The exposed surface on the underside of the Quartz exhibits a two stages of growth - a transparent inner core center followed by a second stage of milky Quartz coating. A beautiful find with striking color contrast as against the pure white Milky Quartz, exquisite and outstanding!
