Drop the item on the conveyor belt
Grab item as it is half way inside the convayer storage, so you can only see just the tip of item.
You will know that it DID NOT work if the prompt pops up telling you the item was taken from your inventory in the top left of the screen.
Repeat this process until you grab the item and its inside your inventory as well as inside the conveypr belt storage
Drop your special book from inventory on ground. Then make sure to also grab and drop the one from the storage.
After both books/items are on the ground pick them up and one will activate the new perk point.
Grab all special books then drop on ground and regrab before starting over.
If you have multiple books in your inventory be carful picking them up or you may pick a perk you do not want.
Repeat unitll all skill are at ten!
