Baldassare Galuppi (1706-1785), known as 'Buranello', was a 'giant' of his time. Charles Burney in his diaries is constantly full of praises for this composer, not only for his musical abilities but also for his human qualities.
Here is a 'light-hearted' piece, not necessarily representative of Galuppi, but simply part of his varied production.
Mr Bellicanta, the Clavierist
Instrument: English harpsichord by Peter Barnes
Tuning: John Barne's 'Bach temperament' - a' = 415 Hz
