COVID-19 vaccines will be made available to more children in the United States. Regulators have expanded the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech jab to those as young as 12. The vaccine has already been cleared in the US for those 16 and older. Most children with COVID-19 only develop mild symptoms, or no symptoms at all. However, children are not without risk of becoming seriously ill, and they can still spread the coronavirus. So far, around 46% of people in the US have received at least one shot of a COVID-19 vaccine.
