Navy SEAL Jason Redman explains the misconception of special operators as glorified blunt instruments of violence, when in reality they are highly intelligent and disciplined individuals who apply the importance of "not pulling the trigger", using Jonny Kim as a "shining example", a NASA Astronaut who graduated Harvard Medical School and was a highly decorated SEAL medic and sniper with a Silver Star, Bronze Star with Combat "V" and a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with Combat "V". He was 2006 Naval Special Warfare Medic of the Year and a 2012 Tillman Scholar. In 2020, he graduated as a flight surgeon and in 2023, he received his "wings of gold" becoming a naval aviator and helicopter pilot.

memoir, The Trident: The Forging and Re-Forging of a Navy SEAL Leader, chronicling his recovery from wounds suffered in Iraq. In 2021, served as
an organizer of ‘The Pineapple Express,’ the ad hoc operation that guided Afghan allies and their families to safety during the fall of Kabul.
Medal of Honor Recipient and SEAL Master Chief Edward C. Byers, Jr - of 11 deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, receiving four Bronze
Star w/Valor device and two Purple Hearts. He would be awarded the Medal of Honor for actions of December 5, 2012, saving an American doctor
held hostage by Taliban fighters in Afghanistan.
Lyla Kohistany - Afghan-American who served on active duty as both a Navy Surface Warfare and Intelligence Officer. She deployed with U.S.
and NATO Special Operations Forces as a counterterrorism analyst in 2005 and as a civilian cultural advisor in 2011 and from 2013 to 2014. She
continues to consult for U.S. Special Operations Command and is a partner at the Cultural Intelligence Center. Lyla also founded PROMOTE, a
nonprofit focused on developing inclusive leaders in national security.
