Curt reviews the new Tank 300 four-wheel drive from Chinese brand GWM. The Tank 300 has retro styling and a turbo-hybrid engine.
It’s official: the TANK 300 is on Australian shores. But is this Chinese-made hybrid body-on-frame 4WD up to the job?
The Tank 300 will be released in Australia imminently. The first shipment has landed. It starts from $55,990 driveaway and uses a 180kW/380Nm 2.0-litre turbo petrol four-cylinder engine, plus a 78kW/268Nm electric motor.
Low-range 4WD is standard, while ground clearance is 224mm.
The GWM Tank 300 is designed to compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Isuzu MU-X, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Ford Everest.
As always, we don’t accept advertising from car manufacturers, and we’re powered by Budget Direct - so this is an independent, honest review of the GWM Tank 300.
