Thailand: Court Removes PM Srettha Thavisin From Office Over Constitution Violation In Ethics Case
Thailand's Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has been dismissed from office after a court ruled he had violated the constitution. The order by the Constitutional Court plunges Thailand into deep political uncertainty. PM Thavisin has been removed for appointing to his cabinet a former lawyer who served jail time in 2018 for contempt of court. Real estate tycoon Srettha Thavisin is the fourth Thai Prime Minister in 16 years to be removed by the same court.
