What forms might life take in the Solar System and beyond? In the Academy’s newest original planetarium show, see how a deeper understanding of Earth might help us locate other living worlds, light years away.
Hear from the show’s science advisors, Jill Tarter and Natalie Batalha, as well as members of the production team about the work that went into creating a visually lush, scientifically accurate show that takes audiences on a journey through space and time to examine life as an essential quality of our home planet. As we ponder what forms life might take in the Universe, “Living Worlds” encourages us to consider how a deeper understanding of our own planet can aid in the search for life across the cosmos, and to reflect on ways we can partner with our living world to ensure our continued survival.
Narrated by Daveed Diggs, “Living Worlds” received the #BestOfEarth Science and Education award from an international jury representing festivals in the U.S., the U.K., Germany, and Australia. It opens on November 5, 2021, at the California Academy of Sciences.
