We were surprised by the cleaning procedure @ErikCortina uses for his top tier F-class rifles. Of course Žiga immediately wanted to try it out.
So we devised a test - first shooting a bunch of groups with a dirty barrel and then repeat the same thing after "deep cleaning" the barrel.
So what are the results? Well we were a bit disappointed but in our case, thoroughly cleaning the barrel made no noticeable difference at all. From our testing we came to the conclusion that you don't have to clean the barrel on a precision rifle.
BUT as we stated in the video and despite the clickbaity title, every rifle and every barrel is different. The rifle barrel cleaning techniques that we saw from Erik Cortina is used by a lot of top tier F-class and ELR shooters so it definitely has some merit.
So our bets advice would be to test this yourself on your rifle - who knows, maybe it will make a big difference on accuracy of your precision rifle.
