The Frauenkirche, for some the most beautiful protestant church in the world, was destroyed in a useless attack to Dresden, at the end of WWII. The ruins stayed in place for decades, until 1989, when the decision to rebuild it was taken.
On october 30, 2005, it was reopened to the public, completely rebuilt.
