Speaker Terminal Replacement : Pure Legato : Cheap Fix
this is about a Pure Legato 2 with broken spring type speaker terminals. You can either replace the broken assembly complete if you buy the spare part form Pure or you can replace the missing or broken retaining clips with others from any cheap Chinese set. The Legato 2 is actually more complex to disassemble than it is to repair, having only four obvious screws holding it together but nothing directly screwed to the particle wood housing.

The speaker terminals I used to repair the unit came from AliExpress and were a close match to the style fitted originally but were not exact. After realising that the new item would not fit the circuit board correctly I decided to repair the original housing by fitting the plastic clamps and springs to the older housing. The actual clips are a generic no brand, no name part which are interchangeable with various housings, obviously to keep manufacturing costs to a minimum.

The video may seem to jump a bit because I dropped sections that were duplicated or poorly shot so hopefully the inclusion of the replacement footage will clarify any issues.
