The history of the Ka Mate haka, made famous by the New Zealand Rugby team the All Blacks, is explained by ex New Zealand Maori Rugby representative Jim Maniapoto, and fellow Tuwharetoa kaumatua Chula Wall. To celebrate the Ka Mate haka, over 1,000 of the New Zealand's best junior rugby players from throughout the country gather to perform the mighty haka in Taupo.
