Thang in Baltistan is the last village on the Indian side of Line of Control (LOC). However the most interesting part of this village isn't just where it's located but the fact that it was part of POK till the 1971 War. It was during that war that Indian Army took back these lands and since then it's been with India. Even though most of Baltistan continues to be in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, a part of it is with India now.
This is also a story of Mr Goba Ali who was left behind when his village was spilt in two parts and was then raised by the Indian army. Through him we get insights into what life used to be for Indians in 1971 and also now.
