Happy #CelloTipTuesday my dolls 💜🎻! Here we have a highlight from last week's livestream, where I demonstrate how to hold your cello. These common indicators are so important to keep in mind because they effect your playing posture:
🌟Sitting on the edge of your chair and having straight legs (aka a straight, vertical path from your knee, down to the floor).
🌟Having the bottom corners of the cello resting along the inside of your knees (NOT on your thighs or the tops of your knees).
🌟Having the bottom peg of the cello's scroll by your ear. You shouldn't feel like you're going to hit it with your neck/back of your head.
🌟Lastly, remember that ALL bodies and proportions are different, so these may adjust slightly depending on the individual. These are the basic initial steps, and I always recommend working with a teacher one-on-one for additional recommendations that are suited for you.
