Ava R., a delivery worker on the Uber platform is back to earning after being reactivated thanks to assistance from UFCW Canada.

Ava, whose been on the platform since 2020, returned after a short break to earn some additional income. Upon her return to Uber, she encountered an unexpected setback when one of her vehicle’s documents was flagged by Uber’s systems, resulting in her swift deactivation from the platform.

Ava then sought assistance from UFCW Canada, who promptly investigated her case and were successful in getting her reactivated and back on the road.

"I'm very grateful to have my job back," says Ava. "Being a student, I have many expenses including rent and loans, and UFCW was able to help me get my job back. Thank you UFCW!”
