Follow our quick and simple video guide on the use of Meglio Resistance Bands.
In this video we'll show you how to use a Meglio resistance band to perform a lat pull down to help strengthen scapular position along with latissimus strength. A lateral pull down is a brilliant exercise to aid shoulder retraction but also latissimus strength.
In order to create resistance to the exercise, take the band and attach it to a point above your head (E.G door frame or stair banister). Once you have safely secured the band grasp both ends with each hand. Take up a suitable level of resistance, so when relaxed your arms are pulled upwards by the band. Set your shoulder blades back and down before starting the full motion of the exercise. Take a relaxed stance and draw your elbows back away from the band. It’s really important to focus on keeping your shoulders back and down together.
