About the history of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina:
Niš, Serbia, is a city steeped in history, dating back millennia. It's one of Europe's oldest cities and boasts a captivating past. A highlight of Niš is the well-preserved Niš Fortress, built during the Roman Empire. This ancient stronghold has witnessed centuries of history, from Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, to modern times. A remarkable historical site within the fortress is the Skull Tower, a chilling monument built from the skulls of Serbian rebels in the early 19th century.
