This tutorial shows you how to create a template for digitizing facial scans. The template includes fixed points on anatomical landmarks of the face and 400 semilandmarks on the facial surface. These semilandmarks will be considered sliding semilandmarks and could be adjusted by minimizing the bending energy (or Procrustes distance) relative to a reference configuration. The tutorial shows how to distribute the points uniformly over the facial surface and prepare them for sliding. The tutorial assumes Viewbox version 4.0.1.4 or later.
