3. Palm oil contains a higher amount of saturated fat (about 34%) such as palmitic acid found in palm kernel oil. Consuming it can lead to higher risk of heart disease and other health problems.
4. Research shows that a compound called palmitic acid in palm oil, can make mice less responsive to hormones like leptin and insulin, that decreases appetite, resulting in eating more food.
