Ingredients:
3 quarter chicken legs
1/4 soy sauce
1/4 vinegar
2 tsp. oyster sauce
1/2 cup sprite
1 tbs. annatto powder
3 tbs. chopped ginger
5 cloves chopped garlic
3 stalks lemon grass (Tanglad)
Procedure :
For marinade
1. Beat with knife's edge & cut lemon grass.
2. Put the soy sauce & vinegar in a mixing bowl.
3. Put lemon grass, ginger & garlic & mix well.
4. Add sprite & oyster sauce.
5. Add ground pepper & annatto powder (achuete).
6. Soak well the chicken & marinate for at least 1 hr. or overnight if possible.
Grill the chicken in electric hot pot or use any griller you prefer.
Put chicken skin side up for 15 min. Flip chicken & cook skin side for 15 to 20 min or until done.
Remove from griller and serve with chili sauce or soy sauce with calamansi.
