Brown Stew Oxtails
4.5 - 5 lb oxtails
2 tbsp oxtail seasoning
2 tbsp ketchup
2 tbsp browning
4 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp allspice powder
1/2 cup onions diced
1/4 cup scallions/ green onions
1 cup bell peppers
1/2 cup tomatoes diced
2 tbsp ginger finely chopped
4 sprigs thyme fresh
8 cups beef broth
2 bay leaves
1 -2 scotch bonnet
1 large carrot sliced
Combine the ingredients as shown in the video.
Braise oxtails for 2.5-3 hours or until tender.
If adding carrots, add them during the last 10-15 minutes of the cooking process.
Serve with your favorite side dish.
