Alexander uses his life experiences to communicate what it feels like to have Autism and how to navigate through the "prickly parts" of Autism. He focusses on key educational experiences throughout Kindergarten, Elementary School, Middle School and High School to highlight how miscommunication between students and teachers can lead to sensory overload and student meltdowns. Alexander uses his stories to help others learn about the importance of individualizing education and making connections with all students.
Alexander is a 27 year old man who lives with Autism. His goal is to convey to the world that Autism can be a thing to be celebrated, not feared. People with Autism could have some really big potential with the right support and understanding. Through his own valuable life experiences he can communicate what it feels like to have Autism and how to navigate through the "prickly parts" of Autism, creating an understanding for both those with and without Autism. His talks are called “Bridging the Gap” as he is able to connect the worlds between people with Autism and those without Autism.
