Buy and hold or fix and flip - what real estate investing strategy is better?

If you are just getting started in real estate investing, this question has undoubtedly crossed your mind. As we have mentioned before, one of the biggest mistakes newbies make is not picking one strategy and pursuing it with laser focused attention. If you are anything like we were getting started, you might be afraid that you'll make the wrong choice.

In this video, we dive into the two main investing strategies investors use - buy and hold versus fix and flip. The buy and hold investing strategy involves buying real estate and then holding it long term while renting it out to a tenant (or multiple tenants) and collecting rent. On the other hand, the flip strategy involves buying a distressed property then fixing and selling it yourself (or by assigning or "wholesaling" it to another investor for a more modest profit).

Each investing strategy has its own advantages, drawbacks, and unique aspects to consider. While you can make plenty of money with either strategy, the best one to use getting started will depend on your personal situation and your financial and overall investing goals.
