This webinar presents a snapshot of the latest developments from four partners of the European Horizon 2020 OLEDSOLAR project. Specifically focusing on automated manufacturing, in-line monitoring, waste reduction and improved yield of the production of opto-electronic components.
The OLEDSOLAR project is concerned with innovative manufacturing processes and in-line monitoring techniques for the OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diodes), thin film and organic photovoltaic industries (CIGS (Copper indium gallium selenide) and OPV (Organic Photovoltaic)). The project has been running for just over three years and is now in its final phase, in which the tools and processes developed will be implemented on pilot and production lines.
A multidisciplinary team of leading European RTOs and industries have collaborated their efforts in a joint 42-month effort to execute the related project activities.
The thin-film opto-electronic production technologies developed as part of this project will enable a wealth of new applications for solar cells, from installations on curved surfaces to building-integrated solar generation.
Organised as eight closely interrelated and interacting work packages, this coordinated European action strives for maximum impact in R&D, product and business development, as well as impact in our society.
