There are a few rappers right now that can cause the entire hip hop community to pause when they drop a new project. Kendrick Lamar is definitely one of them. Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is Kendrick's 5th album and his last to be released on TDE. The label that he's repped since his appearance on the scene in 2011. This new album might be his most controversial piece of work yet as it seems to, simultaneously, be getting for his guts to be vulnerable while also getting criticism for his choices concerning problematic features and language. So what does all this mean? Does the album suffer due to these choices? Or is this the same old Kendrick that we've all grown to love? And what does this mean for TDE moving forward?
