Today hospitals are places where people go to for the diagnosis and treatment of their ills. But over the last few decades, the healthcare sector has focused primarily on treating patients when they get sick, rather than monitoring people’s health and lifestyle in order to prevent them from getting ill in the first place.
In the near future, however, advances in artificial intelligence (AI), high-speed internet, developments in 3D-printing and robotics and as is most important now remote-monitoring technology is going to change the way treatment is given, the reason patients go to hospital and the infrastructure of medical facilities.
