When I have time or want a better espresso, I like to grind the beans and pull an espresso with my Flair signature, then top with water to make a black Americano.

I grind the beans with a Timemore Chestnut C2 manual hand grinder. I think 9 stops (or 10? or 12? I can't remember) usually does it, and 16 to 17 grams works well depending on the beans.

Obviously, some days I make better espresso than others, but they all give me the caffeine I need without being overly bitter or sour.
