Though there are simular products that have the Remote control volume function.

Sound wise, this DAC is not to bad for what it is. It does lack some detail and resolution HiFi wise.
But will sound a lot lot better than your TV speakers and gives you the chance to connect your TV, Cable Box to your old Amplifier or Receiver and have remote contol of the volume as well
