In addition to instructional design, designing effective eLearning requires good graphic design, visual communications, and user interface design. Because here's the thing: if your eLearning course doesn't look good, if you're not using your slides to visually communicate your content, and if your course isn't easy, intuitive, and accessible to use, then it doesn't matter how good your instructional design is.
