Bidibidi in Northern Uganda is the largest refugee settlement in the world - home to over 270,000 South Sudanese refugees.
In Bidibidi Oxfam and it's local partners have been providing clean drinking water to 70% of the entire settlement - around 200,000 people. Oxfam is also constructing latrines and supporting hygiene promotion activities in schools and communities, and supporting small youth led businesses such as barber shops and handicrafts.
Oxfam's #StandAsOne campaign is asking people to Stand As One with refugee families worldwide.

One million people have fled the brutal conflict in South Sudan and taken refuge in neighbouring Uganda thanks to a generous refugee policy by the country’s government.
Refugees are registered at the border and transported to settlements where they are initially given a hot meal and a space to sleep. Each family is then allocated a 30 x 30m plot and given emergency shelter materials.
Families construct their own homes and start to cultivate the land ready for planting crops.
