I've been working on my 4 Towers project off and on for a few months now. Gathering cobblestone and wood, building walls and rooms and furniture. It's starting to get a little tedious.
So I went exploring for a while just to get away from it all. I figured filling out my map was a useful endeavor, and I came upon a small island while doing so. It was the perfect size and shape for a small vacation spot, so I took it upon myself to build one from scratch. (I hadn't brought any of my tools or materials with me, because usually when I go out exploring I have a tendency to die.)
I even set the difficulty back to hard to get back to that good old-fashioned, just-starting-out-in-Minecraft experience. (I put it on peaceful while working on my 4 Towers because Creeper attacks were getting on my last nerves.)
This video shows the final result. I recently learned of fence-post stacking (used to make the flagpole and porch structure), and how to make stair-chairs (with a minor addition to make them more like beach chairs.)
