In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep waters. God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. Over six days, God created the sky, land, seas, vegetation, stars, sun, moon, birds, sea creatures, animals, and finally, humans in His own image. On the seventh day, God rested, blessing it as a holy day.
