The York University Subway Station Project constructed by EllisDon is located in the heart of the York University Campus, crossing diagonally under Ian Macdonald Boulevard. The main entrance consists of two entry wings under an iconic compound curved roof system capped with cool (light reflective) standing seam aluminum panels. Below this iconic entryway is yet another compound curved surface called the Light Scoop, this time formed from tons of structural concrete. Further in beyond these difficult to visualize (let alone build) systems are complex structural V-Columns and platform spanning artwork installations to name just a few of this projects many facets.
