This is a clip from my conversation with Graham Linehan.
Graham Linehan is perhaps the greatest comedy writer of his generation. Best known for creating and co-creating the sitcoms Father Ted, Black Books, and The IT Crowd, although beyond that he still has a remarkable body of work, including writing for Count Arthur Strong, Brass Eye, and The Fast Show, as well as co-creating one of the best sketch shows of all time, Big Train. Linehan has won five BAFTA awards, including Best Writer, Comedy, for The IT Crowd in 2014.
Graham is perhaps more widely known now as an activist for women’s rights and protecting children from the transgender ideology, and the topic takes up much of his time these days. Still, I also wanted to interview Graham about comedy, I’ve been a fan of his for decades, so this was something of a hero-meeting moment for me.
