This video looks at several different outcome measures that are used to measure the effectiveness of treatments in ALS clinical trials. The video also covers some basic information surrounding ALS, symptoms of the disease, pathophysiology, clinical trials and current drugs under investigation. Dr. John Turnbull also speaks about several of the outcome measures that are currently used. Dr. Turnbull, a neurologist and researcher at McMaster University, has made significant contributions in the area of ALS research.
