This is a quick and dirty test of FXhome's ([ Ссылка ]) new #CamTrackAR app ([ Ссылка ]) for iOS that can capture video and 3D tracking data simultaneously using Apple’s AR technology. I decided to try the app out with a #Stargate Puddle Jumper model I'm prepping for my next "Using Time Travel to Fix 2020" video. The track was a bit rough on the street. I don't think there was enough detail there for a good track (and the camera was shaky), and I didn't want to put too much time into this. However, the potential for this app is staggering! And they're only going to improve it.
Shot on an iPhone 11 using FXHome's CamTrackAR app. Composited and rendered in #Adobe After Effects using VideoCopilot's Element 3D and the camera data from the app. David Gian-Cursio created the original Puddle Jumper model. I re-textured and optimized the model for Cinema 4D and Element 3D. Rigging the model for animation was done using Element 3D with After Effects sliders.
