Aloha from Santa Cruz California The Hook! This spot is located in Santa Cruz Northern California, and is called The Hook. It’s a beautiful wave for long boarding, short boarding and even fun boards. This is a clean wave that you can ride for a while. It also helps out with all the kelp in the water to slow down the wave for nose-rides. When this Swell hits South-Swell look out for it because it can be the best wave in the world.
As you can see my gorgeous wifey and I are on the bluffs up top, looking down at all the surfers. It’s so beautiful you can see crystal-clear through the water which is very rare in California. The best part is the staircase to get down the beach. It’s a wide staircase to carry any board down and the best part is the stairs end right at the sand like approximately 2 feet away from the water. On high tide the stairs will be covered in water so you will be wet walking down. They also have rocks down there with staircases to sit on them and relax it’s super beautiful for surfers and non-surfers.
At the end of the video Pleasure Pizza is on the strip walking down to the beach where Jay Mariotti, worked at as a teenager. Jay was also sponsored by O’Neill, the reason this is an iconic pizza spot is because he is a legendary Big Wave surfer who started surfing in Santa Cruz and also surfed the Hook. My mouth-buds were in shocked on how good this burger and juicy it was. If you’re in the mood for a mouth watering burger come stop by Betty Burgers! 🍔 Also they have the famous Santa Cruz shop for Skateboarders there also. So if you’re into skating or love Santa Cruz gear stop and get yourself a t-shirt, sweatshirt, pants/boardshorts and even grab yourself a skateboard. My gorgeous wifey (My Mermaid) and I will be coming back here to surf and enjoy this beautiful surf scene here in Santa Cruz!🤙
