The CTX 3030 is a very sophisticated treasure machine. It gives you all sorts of data to inference from. It was originally released in 2014 and had cutting edge tools at the time. Since 2014, Minelab has released the Equinox 600 and 800 metal detectors which blend incredible depth with highly sophisticated target separation. I have thousands of hours of experience with the Equinox. How does the CTX 3030 compare with what I consider to be the best detector on the market right now; the Minelab Equinox. There is still a huge price difference between the two machines. The CTX 3030 is still sold in 2021 new for more than 2000 dollars while a Minelab Equinox can be secured for less than 1000 dollars.
