Dr. Vivek H. Murthy, the 19th Surgeon General of the United States from 2014-2017, will visit the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for a conversation moderated by National Public Radio’s Alison Kodjak, about the role of government in promoting our nation’s public health. As communities across the country grapple with urgent public health crises, Dr. Murthy will discuss the opportunities and challenges we face and the role of government to address them. Dr. Murthy has spent his career committed to advancing health care access, addressing health disparities, creating a culture of prevention, and encouraging physical and emotional well-being.
