A small clip from the 1985 claymation movie The Adventures of Mark Twain
Adam and Eve in their late years, sit with their journals and contemplate their long life; What they've experienced, what they lost and what they had together.
Adam suddenly finding a heart leaf from one of the trees from the garden of Eden, is met with fond memories and presents the heart to Eve, as a 'valentines gift'
They both think back and smile lovingly to each other.
Next a saddened Adam is seen sitting alone under the tree - having lost Eve with the final words
"Wherever she was, there was Eden"
In my mind this clip represents the long love between Twain and his late wife - and the sorrow of loneliness he's confronted with as she dies. Despite the loss, his many memories with her keeps him going.
