Homemade or natural deodorants are often seen as weaker or less effective than chemical based ones - but that's a big myth.
I've been using natural deodorants for a while now and I'm a total convert. And more recently I started experimenting by creating my own homemade deodorant using just THREE ingredients.
1) Organic coconut oil (4 tablespoons)
2) Arrowroot powder or cornstarch (3 tablespoons)
3) Baking soda (1 teaspoon)
A batch of this size will usually last me around 4 months and if it gets warm and the consistency of the liquid becomes quite runny, I simply store it in the fridge.
If you'd like to add essential oils these are optional but I generally use a mix of eucalyptus, tea tree and peppermint - all really refreshing scents.
